hi, i'm not going to be able to continue with the code I started until I
finish exams.. that's in september 10 +/-
after that i can keep on it..
my code is available if someone want to continue coding on libasm-mips
reusing it instead of the
already existing code in the cvs.
I can upload it if you (the team, or whoever has an opinion on this) wants
it uploaded, altough it doasn't compile
(i haven't even tryed) and it has some changes in the underlying more
general libasm code.. these are some minor changes
related to libasm-mips so it would probably broke libasm entirely,.. but
i'll give it to anyone who asks for it
the improvements over the cvs code are basically:
- it uses a different approach to save the information of instructions that
in my opinion is better
or at least can be more flexible in the future.
- all the information needed for further coding is already written and
complete ,
except for fpu and system instructions
- it uses the vector system as other backends (as the sparc one for
example), that is,
it registers the handler vectors
- the remaining code to be done is mainly filling the handlers wich is also
the longest thing..
these things are ok but as i said it doasn't even compile and of course it
isn't tested so
it's useless by now.
bye.
